USDA is expanding its partnership to support the voluntary conservation of private working lands and migratory big game populations from Wyoming to Idaho and Montana.
The Wyoming-USDA Big Game Conservation Partnership was signed in 2022 by WY Governor Mark Gordon and USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack. This partnership reorients conservation dollars and incentives to working lands that are essential to conserving wildlife and migrations. The Big Game Partnership provides a package of opportunities to producers through the Grassland Conservation Reserve Program, Environmental Quality Incentives Program, and Agricultural Conservation Easement Program.
With much success, the program has expanded to Montana and Idaho and is now a permanent program Under the Working Lands for Wildlife.
The East Yellowstone Collaborative supports the conservation and economic resilience of working lands across the Absaroka Front. We value the essential role private lands play in sustaining wildlife habitat and landscape stewardship.
